Polylactic acid (PLA) is a new type of biodegradable material made from starch raw materials proposed from renewable plant resources. Starch raw materials are saccharified to obtain glucose, which is then fermented with certain strains to produce high-purity lactic acid. Then, a certain molecular weight of polylactic acid is synthesized through chemical synthesis methods. In theory, PLA is a bioplastic with low crystallinity (the lower the crystallinity of the material, the easier it is for the microorganisms responsible for biodegradation to chemically decompose the material), which is much easier to degrade than petroleum based plastics. However, due to the addition of other components, the polymerization process will increase crystallinity. These factors will lead to longer degradation time of PLA.

目前,世界上環保禁塑(sù)的很多先行例如歐洲(zhōu)已(yǐ)經不(bú)用降解和完(wán)全降解來描述材質,而是用是否可堆肥來說明。因為可堆肥對降解的時間,降解(jiě)後的顆粒大小,降解後成分對植物生長的影響都能進行限定,來保證材質的性。
